LED profiles

LED profiles are essential when installing LED strips. They not only provide an aesthetic finish but also expand mounting possibilities. Securely fastening the LED strip inside the profile prevents it from peeling off or detaching and protects it from related mechanical damage. LED profiles can be cut to size as needed, offering virtually unlimited design flexibility. Their main function is to protect the LED strip from dust and dirt (non-waterproof profiles) as well as accidental splashes and moisture (waterproof profiles), which helps preserve the LEDs’ lifespan.

Features of LED Modules

LED modules vary in the number of LED elements in their design, size, light color, brightness, power supply voltage, and control capabilities.

Accordingly, LED modules are divided into:

Modules that contain only LEDs connected in series circuits. These LED elements require a special current limiting circuit.
Modules that contain both LEDs and a built-in controller. This type of LED module has a special system for controlling brightness and color (in the case of multicolor modules).
Modules that contain LEDs and current limiting components. These devices are connected either to a voltage source or to a switch output.

For example, LED modules combining groups of LEDs with a wide beam angle allow for even lighting of an object, while LEDs with a narrow beam angle highlight specific spots or objects.

LED Modules

LED modules are very popular today both in the field of outdoor advertising and interior lighting. An LED module is a set of LEDs connected in series based on an electrical circuit. To ensure a stable voltage between two LEDs connected in series, resistors are used. Since LED modules are often used outdoors, their housing is made of very durable polystyrene (or metal), which provides a high degree of sealing and heat dissipation.

Linear LED modules can emit light in various colors. For this reason, they are available in many shades, including white, red, blue, green, and more. Alongside traditional single-color modules, RGB modules are also popular, which can change the color of the emitted light — all controlled by an additional driver.

Thanks to their construction and high luminous efficacy, these modules are widely used in linear fixtures, ceiling lights, office and industrial systems, as well as architectural and designer lighting.

This trend is due to their high efficiency and very low power consumption. A major advantage of these modules is their ease of installation and the broad range of possibilities they offer — with their help, almost any surface can be illuminated. They work excellently for large furniture pieces as well as devices with unusual shapes. They are also highly resistant to external factors such as dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures (both high and low).
